Cabbage Priority

Stability and Pest Resistance

Working with the 'Prioritet' cabbage hybrid from the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, you quickly realize why it’s a staple for consistent production. When planted at a density of 35,000–40,000 plants per hectare, the crop shows excellent uniformity. A major pain point for any grower is thrips, but this variety's inherent resistance significantly reduces the need for constant insecticide applications. With strong resistance to Fusarium as well, you can focus your efforts on irrigation and fertilization rather than disease management.

Growth and Harvest Flexibility

The flexibility of this hybrid is a real asset. Depending on your market strategy, 'Prioritet' allows for harvest in two windows: early (80–90 days) or mid-late (120–130 days). The heads reach a weight of 2–4 kg, which is the sweet spot for retail and logistics. The round, green, and tight heads handle transport extremely well, minimizing waste and ensuring the final product looks fresh upon arrival at the customer's warehouse.

Storage and Profitability

For farm owners, 'Prioritet' is a versatile tool. It performs exceptionally well for both immediate fresh market sales and long-term storage. With a shelf life of 3 to 8 months under proper conditions, you are not forced to sell your harvest at the peak of the season when prices are low. You can hold back inventory and wait for more favorable market conditions. Processors also value this hybrid for its dense texture and quality, making it a reliable and profitable choice for any crop rotation program.
