Onion Adam

Technical Overview of "Adam" Onion

The "Adam" variety, developed by "Heterosis Selection," is a long-day onion hybrid engineered for the rigorous demands of large-scale vegetable production. Its development centers on structural integrity, making it a reliable asset for growers focusing on high-volume yield and long-term market availability.

Structural Performance and Morphological Specs

Each bulb reaches a weight of 110–150 grams and features a consistent round shape protected by a dense, bronze-yellow skin. This outer layer serves as a critical mechanical barrier, engineered to withstand the rigors of mechanical harvesting systems. With a maturity window of 115–120 days, the plant ensures proper neck closure, which is the foundational prerequisite for extended post-harvest life.

Practical Advantages for Commercial Farming

• Storage Capacity: The genetic profile of "Adam" is optimized for durability, allowing for 6–8 months of storage with minimal loss in quality or turgor.
• Mechanical Efficiency: The variety's uniformity in size and bulb hardness allows for seamless integration with modern grading and packing lines.
• Long-Day Adaptation: Specifically bred for long-day conditions, this hybrid ensures optimal bulb development before the growth cycle terminates, maximizing output.

Opting for "Adam" provides a measurable reduction in post-harvest waste and ensures that the final product meets the consistent size and appearance standards required by modern supply chains.
