Oat Arcan

A Reliable Choice for Food-Grade Oats

The 'Arkan' oat variety, developed by IZTSR NAAS, is a balanced solution for farmers who prioritize stability and grain quality. In the context of today's climatic challenges in Ukraine, this variety demonstrates a consistent ability to deliver yields of 40–50 cwt/ha, making it a sound economic choice for the food production sector.

Key Advantages

The main advantage of 'Arkan' lies in its comprehensive resistance profile. In humid conditions, where many crops suffer from fungal outbreaks, this variety maintains productivity through natural immunity:

• Phytosanitary Status: High resistance to bacterial blight, rust, and various leaf spots, which significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications.
• Harvest Stability: High resistance to shattering allows agronomists more flexibility during the harvest period, reducing risks associated with potential weather-induced delays.
• Grain Quality: Strictly food-grade, ensuring the harvest meets the specific requirements of the processing and cereal industries.

Why Choose Arkan?

Arkan is best suited for farms employing intensive agricultural practices and targeting the food-grade market. While its performance relies on proper agronomic care, it consistently offers a better yield of high-quality, sellable grain compared to many standard forage hybrids. By choosing Arkan, you are investing in a variety that ensures your harvest stays in the field until collection and meets the strict standards of grain processors.
