Originator — Institute of Plant Breeding named after V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAN.
Variety distinguishing features. Variety — contecstum (linked), subvariety — vulgare.
Seedless (hairy) type, semi-dwarf. Stem is normal. Plant height 65 — 80 cm, internodes to the first flower 12 — 14. Flowers are white, two flowers on each pedicel. Pods are fluted type, cylindrical with blunt apex, medium-large. Seeds per pod 4 — 5, maximum number of seeds per pod — 7. Seeds are white-pink, round, with smooth surface and light hilum, well aligned.
Agronomic characteristics. Grain use variety, medium maturity. Vegetation period duration 75-78 days. Drought-resistant. 1000-seed mass 260 — 280 g. Protein content in seeds 21 — 22%. Resistant to lodging, suitable for direct combine harvesting.
In state variety trials in 2005, the highest yield was recorded in the forest-steppe zone at Belayatskaya DSS of NIIC «Yuzhny» — 6.0 t/ha and in the Polissia zone at Rovenskaya DZESR — 5.92 t/ha. In 2008, at Volnyansk DSS (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) yield was 3.6 t/ha, at the test site of LLC «Sativa» (Belgorod Oblast, Russian Federation) — 4.6 t/ha. In steppe Crimea during 2007-2010, average yield of the variety was 2.19 t/ha, maximum yield — 3.59 t/ha in 2010. In 2009, the agrofirm «Niva» (Nosovsky Raion, Chernihiv Oblast) achieved yield of 3.98 t/ha. In 2010, on the demonstration plot of Khmelnytsky Institute of APV, yield was 3.85 t/ha.
In 2012, at the farm TPF «Intercenter Lux» (Slobodky Raion, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic), yield of the variety was 2.77 t/ha. Under production conditions at SOO «Pobeda» (Fasov Raion, Kyiv Oblast) in 2012, yield was 5.00 t/ha.
