The white mustard variety «BELLA» belongs to the group of very early and medium-early plants, which ensures rapid development and simultaneous flowering. The plant height is about 112 cm, and the vegetation period is 75‑77 days. The plants are characterized by uniformity in height and low branch height, which facilitates mechanized harvesting.
The fruit characteristics of the variety allow it to be used both for producing table mustard and for obtaining technical oil. The average seed yield reaches 20–22 ц/га, oil content is about 30 %, and the mass of 1000 seeds is 5.6–6.3 g. The erucic acid content in the oil is in the range of 0.9‑1.7 %, which makes the product suitable for food use. Allyl oil is approximately 0.24 %.
«BELLA» is distinguished by its resistance to a wide range of diseases and pests: fusarium, alternaria, downy mildew, phoma, lodging, and drought (ratings 8/9). Growing regions include Northern, Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatsky, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Urals, Western Siberia, Eastern Siberia, and the Far East. Thanks to high yield and oil content indicators, as well as low erucic acid content, the variety is widely used in the food industry and for the production of technical oil.
