Mint Brigantina

Reliability and Phytosanitary Control

When working with the "Brigantina" variety, the focus shifts from managing disease outbreaks to maximizing essential oil profiles. For an agronomist, this variety is an asset due to its robust phytosanitary profile. Its complex resistance to key pathogens—including yellow and brown rust, septoria, fusarium head blight, and powdery mildew—allows for a significant reduction in fungicide application. In an intensive production environment, this translates into lower costs and a cleaner, premium-grade product.

Agrotechnics and Operational Predictability

Developed by the Educational and Scientific Center "Vegetable Experimental Station" and the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (authored by Y.P. Shevchenko and V.A. Kharchenko), this variety is highly adaptable to various climatic zones. The cultivation of "Brigantina" is straightforward, with predictable growth patterns that respond well to standard agricultural practices.

• Disease Resilience: The natural immunity to rust fungi and powdery mildew minimizes the risk of crop loss during high-humidity seasons.
• Harvest Efficiency: The uniform maturation of the biomass simplifies mechanical harvesting, reducing raw material waste during cutting.
• Regeneration: The plant recovers quickly after harvest, enabling multiple cuts per season under optimal management conditions.

"Brigantina" demands consistent hydration management, standard for aromatic herbs. Proper moisture control and planting density are key to achieving maximum essential oil yields. This variety is ideal for producers who prioritize yield reliability and want to avoid operational surprises throughout the growing cycle.
