Mint KRASNODARSKAYA 2

Reliable Yield for Commercial Mint Production

The «Krasnodarskaya 2» variety has long established itself as a reliable workhorse for farms focusing on essential oil crops. As an operator, you will appreciate its predictability: it delivers consistent vegetative mass and stable raw material output. With proper agronomic management, this variety allows for 3–4 full harvests per season, making it highly profitable for intensive cultivation.

Operational Guidelines

• Planting: The variety thrives in light, well-moisturized soils. It is perfectly suited for mechanized planting via rhizomes.
• Maintenance: Weed control is essential during the first year. Thanks to a robust root system, «Krasnodarskaya 2» quickly closes rows, minimizing long-term cultivation costs.
• Harvesting: The optimal window is the mass flowering phase. During this period, essential oil concentration is at its peak, and the menthol aroma is at its most intense.

Product Quality

The core advantage is the deep, refreshing menthol profile. Unlike wild varieties, this cultivar offers a consistent biochemical composition, which is critical for pharmaceutical and food industry standards. The deep green leaves maintain their commercial appearance during drying, which minimizes waste during post-harvest processing.
