MOHITO

Mint «MOHITO» (Mentha nemorosa Mokhito) – a perennial herbaceous shrub growing up to 40–50 cm tall. The leaves are light green in color, have an oval shape and serrated edges, emitting a delicate minty aroma that makes it ideal for preparing a «Mojito» cocktail, as well as aromatic tea and refreshing drinks.

For growing, mint prefers a bright sunny location and well-drained soil. Loose, fertile, slightly loamy and slightly acidic soil is ideal, which retains moisture but does not allow water stagnation to prevent root rot and fungal diseases. The plant is easily propagated from seedlings or cuttings; regular watering and moderate pruning promote the growth of new shoots.

Mint «MOHITO» is resistant to low temperatures (up to –28 °C) and spreads quickly thanks to its horizontal rhizome. It requires protection from pests such as aphids and spider mites, but generally does not present complex care requirements. Flowering occurs from early July to September, while the plant retains its aromatic taste and attractive appearance.
