Mint Kholodok

Botanical Profile and Breeding Value

The 'Kholodok' mint is a perennial herbaceous crop developed by the Russian breeder Elizaveta Romanovna Kudryavtseva. The technical value of this variety lies in its high concentration of essential oils, which provide a distinct menthol profile. This is a specialized variety focused on the stable accumulation of biologically active substances, making it a high-value raw material.

Key Operational Characteristics

• Biological Resource: The perennial nature of the plant minimizes costs associated with annual sowing, ensuring stable vegetative mass under proper agricultural practices.
• Aroma Profile: The high menthol content results in an intense scent, which is critical for industrial processing in pharmacology and the culinary industry.
• Functional Purpose: The variety is optimized for phytotherapeutic needs and active use as a component in food products requiring a powerful, refreshing effect.

The varietal purity and intellectual property rights held by E. R. Kudryavtseva ensure the predictability of the plant's genetic quality, whether grown in domestic gardens or for small-scale production. 'Kholodok' demonstrates high adaptability to various climatic conditions, making it a reliable asset for producers of culinary herbs.
