Zucchini STRIPED SUN

STRIPED SUN is a high-yielding bush-type Italian zucchini variety, known for its attractive striped fruits. The plant is characterized by early maturation with a growing season of about 50 days and a compact bush size with a height of approximately 45 cm. The fruits have a cylindrical shape and a dark green color with lighter stripes, reaching an optimal size of about 20 cm. The zucchini has a soft taste with a slight nutty nuance, more aromatic compared to most other varieties, making them particularly appealing for culinary use. Growing the variety is possible both by seedling method and by direct sowing in open ground after the threat of frost has passed. Seeds germinate at temperatures not lower than 10 degrees Celsius, seedlings appear in 6-7 days, and the optimal temperature for growth is 25–35 degrees. The plant prefers light fertile and medium loamy soils, requires regular watering, hoeing, hill formation, and feeding to ensure abundant and prolonged fruiting. The bushes are open with spineless stems, which facilitates harvest collection. The variety is characterized by high yield and the ability to maintain taste qualities even when fruits over-ripen. Thanks to its compactness and resistance to growing conditions, STRIPED SUN is suitable for growing under film cover and in open ground. Early maturation and stable fruiting make this zucchini an excellent choice for those who value tasty and aromatic vegetables with a classic Italian character.
