Nymph melon is an ultra-early hybrid of the pineapple type, beginning fruit production 75-80 days after full seedling emergence. The plant is robust and sturdy, noted for high endurance and resistance to diseases such as fusarium wilt and powdery mildew. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid is successfully cultivated in both open and protected ground, with an optimal planting density of no more than two plants per square meter.
Nymph fruits have a portion-sized ellipsoid shape and a golden-yellow color with a dense white net on the rind, which is very thin and resembles apple skin. Fruit weight varies from 1.5 to 2.3 kg, and the seed chamber is small in size. The melon flesh has a beautiful apricot hue; it is very juicy, sweet, and pleasant to taste, with a light crunchy texture and a distinct pineapple aroma.
The hybrid demonstrates good transportability and storability of fruits, making it convenient for storage and transport. With a high level of agrotechnics, up to 4-5 fruits can be obtained from one plant, with yields reaching over 12 kg per square meter in open ground and about 7-9 kg per square meter when grown in greenhouses. These characteristics make the Nymph melon an attractive choice for gardeners seeking an early and high-quality crop.
