Melon BOGATYR GREEN

The 'Bogatyr Green' melon variety is an early-maturing cucurbit belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family, also known as Armenian cucumber or snake melon. Its native range includes Iran and Central Asia, where it is widely cultivated. The plant is vigorous, with a main vine reaching 2.5-3 meters in length, bearing 5 to 10 fruits. The fruits are cylindrical, segmented, green in color, measuring 30 to 50 cm in length and up to 1 kg in weight. They possess a crunchy, juicy, and sweet flesh with a delicate melon aroma, making them refreshing and invigorating. The variety is characterized by rapid maturation, with fruits reaching maturity within 70-80 days after sowing. It is resistant to temperature fluctuations and common cucurbit diseases such as powdery mildew (both true and false). Thanks to these qualities, 'Bogatyr Green' is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in film greenhouses. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use light, fertile, and permeable soils. The fruits of this variety can be consumed both when mature and when young. Young pickles are used similarly to cucumbers—in salads, pickles, and canning—which expands their application possibilities. Prolonged fruiting and universal usability make 'Bogatyr Green' an attractive choice for gardeners and farmers seeking a tasty and beneficial harvest.
