Melon Blondi

The Blondi melon variety is a mid-season hybrid intended for cultivation in film greenhouses. Sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of April, and transplanting seedlings should be carried out at the end of May to the beginning of June, when the plants reach an age of 30-35 days. The optimal planting scheme is 150x70 cm. For proper fruit formation, plants are tied to a trellis; side shoots are removed up to a height of 50 cm, and subsequent ones are pinched above the 1st-3rd leaf. 3-4 fruits form on one plant. Fruits of this variety are characterized by small sizes and may have a flattened or spherical shape, with each weighing from 400 to 800 grams. The fruit surface is segmented, without a net-like pattern, gray-green in color with a thin rind. The flesh is bright orange, melting, with high and stable sugar and carotene content, which gives it a rich taste and useful properties. Harvesting should be done before full ripening, when the fruits acquire a slightly beige tint and a characteristic aroma. Fruits have a "wet pull", so they must be cut with a part of the stem. Blondi melons are widely used in fresh form due to their sweet and aromatic taste. In addition, they are suitable for making fruit salads, jams, and candied fruits, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes. Due to their taste qualities and ease of cultivation in greenhouse conditions, this hybrid is an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers seeking to obtain a high-quality and tasty crop.
