The LUCKSTAR F1 watermelon is an ultra-early hybrid type Ananas, developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. This variety has a short ripening period — from transplanting seedlings to harvest takes only 50-55 days, allowing for early market-ready produce. The plant is strong and resilient, adapted to the conditions of southern Russia, resistant to major fungal and bacterial diseases, as well as adverse climatic factors. LUCKSTAR F1 is suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground, and the seeds require no additional treatment before planting.

The watermelon fruits have a elongated oval shape and weigh between 2 to 6 kg, with yellow-orange rind covered by a distinct rough netting. The flesh is white with a slight greenish tint, sufficiently dense and juicy, with high sugar content — 10-11% on the Brix scale — ensuring excellent taste qualities. Due to its dense flesh structure and good transportability, the harvest can be transported over long distances and stored for an extended period under cool conditions.
