Description Aleksandra
The Aleksandra melon variety is a mid-ripening hybrid that matures in approximately 80-90 days. This variety is suitable for growing in both open ground and protected soil with mandatory tying to a trellis. From one plant, 4 to 6 fruits form, which have a spherical shape and a gray-green color with a thick, dense gray net on the rind. The weight of each fruit varies from 1.2 to 2 kilograms. The rind of the melon is dense, while the flesh is bright green, juicy, and crisp, possessing a refreshing taste and pleasant aroma.

One of the main advantages of the Aleksandra hybrid is its high resistance to diseases, which significantly facilitates care and increases yield. Additionally, the fruits differ in long-term storage and good transportability, which makes this variety attractive for both personal consumption and commercial cultivation. The melon is used primarily fresh, but is also suitable for processing, which expands its application possibilities.

For successful cultivation of Aleksandra melons, it is important to consider their heat-loving nature. Optimal regions for cultivation are southern and central areas with a warm climate and a long summer; however, with proper selection of varieties and the use of coverings, cultivation is possible even in more northern regions. Such an approach allows obtaining high-quality and sweet fruits even in conditions of less favorable climate.
