The maturation period is approximately 60-65 days after transplanting, making this variety particularly attractive for farmers seeking an early harvest. The plant features a strong root system and dense foliage, ensuring high resistance to drought and heat, as well as protection for the fruit against sunburn. The hybrid is low-maintenance, adaptable to various agronomic conditions, and possesses strong immunity to common diseases such as fusarium and powdery mildew. Meіron watermelon fruits have an oval shape with a dense orange-golden rind covered by a distinct netting pattern, which effectively protects the flesh from damage during harvest and transport. The average fruit weight ranges from 3 to 4 kg, sometimes reaching up to 6 kg, with flesh occupying more than 60% of the internal volume. The flesh is dense, crisp, with a creamy-white hue and a sweet-vanilla flavor that remains even after prolonged storage or overripening. Sugar content in the fruits reaches 12-13%, which is high for large-fruited varieties. The flesh aroma resembles a candied-dragon fruit bouquet, making Meіron watermelon an excellent choice for fresh consumption, as well as for desserts, smoothies, and baking. The hybrid demonstrates high yield — from 60 to 80 tons per hectare, with 3 to 6 fruits of uniform size developing per plant. Thanks to its dense rind and resistance to adverse weather conditions, the watermelon withstands transport well and can retain freshness for more than four weeks under proper storage. The fruit rejection rate is only 5-10%, indicating stable harvest quality. Meіron F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and as seedlings, making it a versatile and profitable choice for farmers and gardeners.
