Mirra F1

Watermelon Mirra F1 is a medium-maturing honey dew type hybrid developed by the Dutch company Kitano Seeds. The vegetative period is 70-75 days from transplanting seedlings, allowing cultivation in open fields, greenhouses, or under plastic covers. The plant features a strong, sturdy stem with dense foliage, and its branched root system provides high drought and other adverse condition resistance. Additionally, the variety is resistant to common diseases, including fusarium, powdery mildew, and viral diseases, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

Watermelon Mirra F1 fruits are round or slightly oval, with a creamy-white rind covered by a light green netting. Fruit weight ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 kg. The flesh is dense, greenish-white, juicy, and very sweet, with sugar content ranging from 14 to 16%, giving it a characteristic honey flavor. The small seed cavity enhances fruit quality for consumption. Due to its dense rind and good storage ability, the fruits withstand transportation and long-term storage well, making them popular on fresh markets and suitable for processing.

Watermelon Mirra F1 has high yield potential — up to 80 tons per hectare — and strong fruit set even under unfavorable growing conditions. It is suitable for direct sowing or transplanting with a seeding rate of 9-13 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to its excellent taste and versatility, the fruits are used not only for fresh consumption but also for juice production, canning, and other culinary purposes.
