Azilal

Azilal F1 is a medium-early hybrid of the Canary Yellow type, developed by Rijk Zwaan (Netherlands). The ripening period is 65-70 days, making this hybrid suitable for the first crop cycle in both open and protected ground. The plant is vigorous, strong-growing, with a well-developed leaf canopy and long vines, ensuring high productivity and resistance to adverse growing conditions without loss of fruit quality.

The fruits of Azilal F1 have an oval shape with a bright yellow rind, which is slightly wrinkled and highly marketable. The average fruit weight ranges from 2 to 4 kg, with white, dense, juicy flesh and a sugar content of 12-13%. Thanks to these characteristics, the melon is suitable for both fresh marketing and processing, while retaining its flavor and attractive appearance for a long time.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to melon mosaic virus (HR: MNSV/Fom: 0,1) and moderate resistance to powdery mildew (IR: Px: 2, 3, 5). The recommended planting density is 5-6 thousand plants per hectare, promoting optimal development and maximum yield. Azilal F1 melon enjoys steady demand among farmers due to its reliability, quality, and adaptability to various growing conditions.
