ROSSANA

ROSSANA onion is a winter variety of seed onions with a pink color, characterized by a long storage period and an attractive appearance. The bulbs have a dense round shape with pink upper scales and white lower ones, while the dry scales are colored pink with yellow spots. The onion taste is semi-sharp with a slight sweet note, which allows it to be consumed even raw, like an apple. Plant height reaches 30-35 cm, and the vegetation period is about 90-100 days from seedling emergence to full leaf lodging.

Sowing 500 grams of onion sets allows growing at least 20 kg of sweet onion in a plot area of 4-5 sq. m. Using sets significantly saves time on watering and weeding, which facilitates care for plantings. When planting for winter, the first harvest of green onion can be obtained as early as April, and the bulbs — in June. Yield is approximately 3 kg from one square meter, making the variety highly valued among gardeners.

ROSSANA onion is universal in application: its sweet bulbs and greens are used fresh, as well as for preparing first and second courses. In addition, the onion is dried for spices, added to marinades and preserves. Thanks to good ripening and excellent preservation, this variety maintains its qualities throughout the winter, making it a reliable choice for long-term storage.
