Daylily Saunder's Lily

Ukrainian breeding for your resilient garden

The 'Berehynia Sadu' daylily is the result of long-term breeding efforts by the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. Unlike many foreign hybrids that struggle with unpredictable climate changes, this variety was specifically developed for reliable performance in local conditions. Its standout feature is its impressive winter hardiness down to -30°C, ensuring survival without special winter protection even in colder regions.

A bloom that keeps giving

Vibrant orange flowers transform 'Berehynia Sadu' into a garden centerpiece. Unlike many mono-blooming varieties, this daylily is remontant, meaning it offers repeat flowering, significantly extending the season of beauty. It thrives in full sun, where the intense orange pigmentation deepens and the stems remain sturdy and upright.

Pros and considerations

• Strengths: Excellent adaptability to local soils, resilience against extreme winters, and a consistent ability to re-bloom throughout the season.
• Care advice: Like most daylilies, this variety requires consistent moisture. During dry spells, supplemental watering is essential to fuel the second wave of blooms.

This variety is an optimal choice for homeowners and professional landscapers looking for a low-maintenance, visually striking plant. Whether used in mixed borders or along garden paths, it brings a reliable, sun-drenched aesthetic to any landscape project.
