Lilac "MIKHAYLO LOMONOSOV" is a medium-sized shrub, with a height of 190 to 220 cm and a width of 130–150 cm, featuring an oval-shaped crown of medium density. The leaves are dark green, smooth, and matte, with pointed-oval shapes, while the stems have an olive-green tint. Flower stalks are sturdy, with flower-bearing branches measuring 20–25 cm in length.
Lilac inflorescences reach dimensions of 20–25 × 10–14 cm and consist of one pair of dense cylindrical panicles. Each inflorescence contains 300 to 350 large double flowers with a diameter of 2.5–2.7 cm. The flowers are dark lilac with a blue tint; as they mature, the color gradually fades to light blue. Buds are dark lilac, and the flower aroma is moderate and pleasant.
Blooming begins at the end of April – early May (from May 9–12) and lasts almost a month, peaking in mid-May (May 18–24). The variety is resistant to diseases and pests, winter-hardy, drought-resistant, and can withstand moderate heat. It tolerates late spring frosts well. Due to these characteristics, the lilac "Mikhail Lomonosov" is suitable for greening in various climatic zones and is valued for its decorative qualities and elegant appearance.
