Lilac 'Evening Bell' – a medium-sized shrub up to 2.5 m tall and about 1.5 m wide, which delights the eye with delicate pink inflorescences about 25 cm long throughout spring (from May to June). The flowers have a thin chocolate hue, and their aroma is bright and delicate, filling the air with a romantic atmosphere.
The plant prefers sunny areas or light shade and grows in loose, drained soils with high humus content. The soil acidity should be neutral, and the moisture moderate; meanwhile, lilac withstands drought and frosts below -30 °C well, is rarely affected by diseases and pests.
'Evening Bell' is ideal for creating hedges, decorating leisure areas, house entrances, building walls, and fences. Thanks to its resilience to pruning and rapid volume growth (about 30 cm per year), the plant is easily shaped into designer compositions with conifers, ornamental shrubs, and perennial flowers.
