Description Fristina
Fristina lettuce is a mid-season leaf lettuce variety of the Frise type, developed by the Dutch breeding company Hazera. This hybrid is characterized by rapid growth and resistance to major diseases such as downy mildew and mosaic virus, ensuring high productivity and reliability in cultivation. The vegetative period is approximately 50-60 days, allowing lettuce to be grown from early spring to late autumn, both in open and protected ground.

The leaf rosette of Fristina lettuce has a flat-round shape, medium size, weighing between 400 to 700 grams. The leaves have a tender green color with slight wavy edges, characteristic sheen, and crisp texture. A unique feature of this variety is that the leaf tips do not dry out, maintaining the attractive appearance of the entire head even after maturity. This feature makes the lettuce especially valuable for selling whole heads and for use in fresh salad mixes.

Due to its low maintenance requirements and strong root system, Fristina lettuce adapts well to various soil types and growing conditions. It is suitable for dietary consumption and preparation of diverse fresh dishes, offering a pleasant taste and high nutritional value. This variety is an excellent choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
