Lettuce RODRIGUES

Rodrigues is an early variety of romaine lettuce, distinguished by its high resistance to bolting and tip burn. This variety features a small, compact head with a mass of about 200 grams. The leaves are tightly packed, dense, and deeply frilled, giving the lettuce an attractive appearance and enhancing its taste. A key feature of the Rodrigues variety is the lack of need for blanching before harvest, as the leaves do not have the characteristic bitterness associated with traditional romaine varieties.

The variety is recommended for growing in open ground. Sowing for seedlings is conducted in March, and seedling transplantation in April-May. For autumn use and storage, sowing is performed at the end of July. The optimal planting scheme is 30 by 30 centimeters, which ensures comfortable plant development and ease of care.

Due to its characteristics, Rodrigues is suitable for obtaining an early harvest of lettuce with excellent taste qualities and high resistance to unfavorable conditions. This variety will be an excellent choice for gardeners seeking to produce high-quality and tasty lettuce without additional agrotechnical procedures.
