Lettuce Tendita

Tendita lettuce is an early-maturing crisp romaine variety developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. It features deep green, spoon-shaped leaves and compact heads with attractive cores when fully mature. The leaves have a sweet flavor and crisp texture, making this lettuce particularly appealing for fresh consumption, as well as for sandwiches, snacks, and various salad mixes.

Tendita is suitable for year-round cultivation, both in open ground from spring to autumn and in controlled environments using hydroponics. This variety exhibits high resistance to adverse conditions, including false powdery mildew, bolting, and necrosis. It tolerates hot weather well and withstands minor frost down to -5 degrees Celsius, expanding its cultivation potential across various climates.

Moreover, Tendita lettuce has a long shelf life and maintains quality well during transportation. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to maintain optimal germination temperature at +16–+17 degrees, along with timely watering, weed control, and fertilization. These characteristics make Tendita a versatile and reliable choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to achieve tasty and high-quality harvests.
