Late-Season Strategy: Maximizing Market Presence with 'Strelets'

The 'Strelets' lettuce variety is a professional solution for growers looking to extend their fresh greens supply chain. Developed by Gavrish and the Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Breeding and Seed Production, this variety fills the critical market gap left by early-maturing cultivars, ensuring you have high-quality, sellable produce even when seasonal supply typically wanes.

Agronomic Profile and Commercial Value

This loose-leaf variety is characterized by a vibrant, medium-red pigment, which is a significant competitive advantage in the culinary market. The medium-sized rosette provides an ideal weight for standardized retail packaging, minimizing waste and simplifying the harvesting process. To achieve maximum yield and consistency, growers should prioritize precise plant spacing to ensure uniform rosette development without overcrowding.

Practical Applications for Your Farm

• Supply Chain Extension: Perfect for filling late-season production slots and maintaining steady deliveries to retail partners.
• Optimized Harvesting: The medium-mass rosette allows for efficient mechanical or manual cutting, essential for high-volume commercial operations.
• Market Positioning: The distinct red hue serves as a premium aesthetic feature, making it a staple for mixed salad packs and upscale restaurant suppliers.

Choosing 'Strelets' is a strategic decision for operations focused on stable, high-value demand for crisp, visually appealing greens during the latter half of the growing season.
