Cabbage Star

Leafy exoticism: why choose "Sozvezdie"

Against the backdrop of massive cabbage varieties, "Sozvezdie" occupies a niche of compact decorative and edible greens. This Russian-bred variety, developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, is primarily intended for those seeking aesthetics in the garden and fresh vitamin-rich additions to their diet. Unlike heavy-weight hybrids, "Sozvezdie" does not form a dense head, appearing instead as an elegant leafy rosette.

Key Features

• Compactness: An ideal option for dense planting and container growing.
• Usage: Fresh market, garnish, and vitamin salads. Leaves maintain marketability for up to 2 months.
• Weight: Miniature heads weighing up to 0.1 kg make it a perfect single-serving product.

The main strength of this variety is the combination of visual appeal and nutritional value. This is not the type of vegetable grown for tonnage per hectare. "Sozvezdie" is a crop for farmers supplying restaurants and for gardeners who value a neat, organized garden. Its weakness is predictable: the limited biomass yield makes it unsuitable for industrial processing or sauerkraut production. However, for the fresh greens market during the off-season, this variety remains a stable choice.
