Lettuce Flame

Technical Profile of the 'Plamya' Leaf Lettuce

Developed by the St. Petersburg State Agrarian University (breeder O. V. Nikolaeva), the 'Plamya' lettuce variety is a precise tool designed for professional market gardening. Its structural integrity makes it an ideal candidate for high-yield, consistent production cycles.

Key Specifications and Morphological Data

• Plant Type: Leaf, mid-season. The biological cycle is calibrated to ensure a high ratio of marketable biomass within the specified timeframe.
• Pigmentation: Intense red coloration. The high anthocyanin content is not merely cosmetic; it enhances shelf-life stability and market appeal in the Fresh Cut industry.
• Rosette Structure: Average mass. The uniform development of the rosette makes this variety versatile for both bulk sales and individual unit packaging.

The primary advantage of 'Plamya' lies in its production predictability. The mid-season maturity allows agronomists to optimize harvest windows with high accuracy, reducing the risk of over-maturity. The intense color profile makes it a premium asset for creating visual variety in salad blends. Through the research framework of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University, the variety achieves excellent uniformity, which facilitates mechanized harvesting and ensures reduced mechanical damage during transit. This variety is optimized for growers who prioritize standardized quality and consistent output metrics.
