Lettuce Izanas

Izanas lettuce (Izanas) is a head type iceberg variety developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. This mid-season variety is distinguished by its high marketability and excellent taste, making it popular among farmers. From transplanting to technical maturity, it takes approximately 60-70 days, allowing cultivation from spring to autumn in open ground. The plant adapts well to temperature changes and is resistant to necrosis, false powdery mildew, and lettuce aphid, ensuring a stable yield and product quality. The Izanas lettuce head is dense, closed, round-shaped, weighing about 500 grams. The leaves are light green, fairly large, with a blistered surface and wavy edges, possessing a dense and glossy texture. The slow head filling provides more time for harvesting, which is an additional advantage for producers. Due to its characteristics, this lettuce is suitable for both fresh market sales and industrial processing. Izanas lettuce seeds are packaged in 500-gram quantities and intended for cultivation in open ground. The variety is responsive to agronomic practices, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. High disease resistance and stable yield make Izanas a reliable choice for farmers seeking quality and flavorful iceberg lettuce.
