Roksay is a mid-season variety of Oakleaf lettuce, distinguished by its bright burgundy leaf color and forming a loose, sprawling open-type rosette weighing up to 500 grams. The leaves reach a length of 12-15 cm, have a wavy edge, feature high crispness and a pleasant taste. Thanks to the intense red coloration, which appears even under low light conditions, the variety is suitable for year-round cultivation in open ground, protected ground, and hydroponics.
Roksay lettuce is characterized by high stress tolerance and plasticity, making it easy to care for. The plant actively develops with regular watering and soil loosening, demonstrating resistance to common diseases such as downy mildew and lettuce aphid. Additionally, the variety has high resistance to necrosis and bolting under extreme summer conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
The vegetation period of Roksay is about 50 days, after which the harvest maintains elasticity and freshness for a long time after cutting. Thanks to these qualities, the lettuce is widely used in cuisine for preparing and decorating dishes, and is in demand on the fresh market. Seeds of the variety are produced in a granulated form, which facilitates sowing and increases germination.
