Lettuce Elsol

Elsol lettuce is a hybrid iceberg-type variety developed by the Dutch company Nunhems, intended for cultivation in open ground from spring to autumn. The plant has a medium maturity period and forms a round, even head weighing about 500 grams. The leaves are light-green, succulent, and possess pleasant flavor characteristics, making this variety popular for fresh market sales and salad mixes.

The Elsol variety exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including viral and fungal infections, leaf edge burn, false powdery mildew (Bl:16-31), and rot caused by excessive soil and air moisture. Additionally, the lettuce is tolerant to bolting under high temperatures, enabling successful cultivation during summer rotations. These qualities ensure a stable yield and high product quality.

For cultivation, the seedling method with pelleted seeds is recommended. Seeds are sown in seedling trays. Seeds are packaged in 1 gram (600-1000 seeds) or 5000 pelleted seeds, which is convenient for various planting scales. The variety is suitable for cultivation in different regions, making it a universal choice for farmers and gardeners.
