Lectrice

Lectrice (Lectrice) salad is an early-heading, head-type iceberg variety developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. This variety is distinguished by its short growing period — only 55 days from transplanting seedlings to full readiness for harvest. Lectrice forms dense, light-green heads with a rich inner structure, making it attractive for fresh consumption.

The variety is recommended for cultivation both in open and protected soil, but especially well-suited for the summer-autumn season in open ground. To achieve high yields, Lectrice requires soil with neutral or slightly alkaline reaction (pH 6-7), preferably light loams or light dry soils. The plant does not tolerate acidic soils, so soil quality must be monitored.

Care for the salad includes regular monitoring of watering, loosening, weeding, and fertilizing depending on soil condition. The variety shows resistance to certain diseases, contributing to a stable yield.
