Lettuce Ikebanas

Ikebanas lettuce is a mid-season iceberg type variety developed by Dutch breeders from the company Rijk Zwaan. The heads of this variety are round, green, with well-developed inner leaves and a compact, slightly flattened shape. The head size is medium, characterized by high form and a properly closed lower side, ensuring excellent alignment and product quality.

This variety is recommended for cultivation in open and protected ground, particularly suitable for spring planting with sowing in mid-March, and can also be successfully grown in summer and autumn. Ikebanas exhibits high cold and heat tolerance, enabling stable yields under various climatic conditions. For maximum productivity, it is recommended to grow it on fertilized sandy loams with regular irrigation control.

Ikebanas lettuce has high resistance to bolting, internal scald, powdery mildew, downy mildew, black rot, septoria, and aphids. Due to these characteristics, the variety demonstrates a long harvest period and reliability in cultivation. Its rapid development and head filling make Ikebanas an attractive choice for farmers and gardeners seeking a high-quality, disease-resistant product.
