Smooth brome Aurelia

Leafy Brome for the Fresh Market

Developed by the breeders at "Iksgp Naan," the "Aurelia" variety is a specialized leafy brome tailored specifically for the salad industry. Unlike wild or forage varieties, this selection prioritizes a tender, succulent leaf structure, free from the coarse fibers typical of standard pasture grasses.

Why Choose Aurelia?

• Culinary Excellence: The dense, tender leaves serve as a premium base for mixed salads, meeting the strict aesthetic and texture requirements of the HoReCa sector.
• Regional Adaptability: Being a product of Ukrainian selection, this variety is well-adapted to local climatic fluctuations, reducing risks during unpredictable spring and autumn seasons.
• Production Efficiency: The uniform development of the leaf rosette streamlines harvesting processes, whether manual or mechanized, resulting in consistent bunch sizes.

Strategic Application

"Aurelia" is an optimal choice for professional growers supplying retail chains and high-end restaurants. However, its high quality comes with specific requirements: the variety is highly sensitive to irrigation regimes. Maintaining consistent soil moisture is non-negotiable to prevent fiber toughening and premature bolting. While it demands a more rigorous management style compared to forage brome, the resulting quality makes it a high-value crop for those who prioritize output consistency and premium market positioning. With proper moisture management, it delivers reliable yields and excellent marketability.
