Vigoda

The Vigoda potato variety is an early-maturing, large-bulb table variety characterized by high yield, reaching up to 400 centners per hectare. Tubers have smooth yellow skin and light-yellow flesh, with round or oval shape and small surface eyes. This versatile variety is prized for its good taste and storability, making it suitable for various cooking methods.

The Vigoda variety is resistant to a range of diseases, including potato cancer, viral diseases, late blight of tubers and foliage, and iron-stained spots. It also shows moderate resistance to common scab and stem nematode, contributing to stable yields and reduced losses during storage. Due to these properties, the variety is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions.

Starch content in tubers ranges from 10 to 13.5%, providing good nutritional value and taste quality, rated 3.6–8.3 points in various studies. White flowers and high field resistance to pests and diseases make Vigoda a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable potato yields.
