Potato variety EXTRA belongs to the medium-early table types, characterized by high market yield and excellent storability. Plants of this variety have medium height, intermediate type, and semi-upright stem positioning. Leaves are medium-sized, open, and green, with medium-sized flower crowns lacking or weakly anthocyanic pigmentation on the inner side. Tubers are very long, with light beige skin and creamy flesh, small eyes, making them attractive to consumers and convenient for processing.

EXTRA variety exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases, including potato scab, golden potato cyst nematode, late blight on foliage and tubers, rhizoctonia, mosaic virus, and ring rot. This ensures stable yields and reduces losses during storage and transport. Starch content in tubers ranges from 13.0% to 15.0%, making this variety suitable for various cooking methods, including table use, processing into crispy potatoes, and production of dry mash.

The yield of variety EXTRA is high, averaging 25.4 t/ha, with record yields reaching 50–60 t/ha under favorable conditions. Marketable tuber mass ranges from 116–156 g, with a marketability of 88%, indicating high product quality. Storage life is excellent, allowing tubers to remain in good condition for an extended period. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central region and is included in the state register.
