Color broccoli (Romanesco) variety Robert is an early-to-early-maturing variety with a vegetative period from 65 to 85 days, usually ready for harvest 75 days after seedling transplant. The plant forms a rosette of sturdy, upward-pointing leaves that partially cover the head. The broccoli head is flat-round and highly convex, white or off-white, dense, and of medium weight - from 540 to 650 grams. The variety yield is from 1.8 to 2.5 kg per square meter.
The Robert variety is characterized by cold tolerance and moisture-loving nature, preferring an optimal growth temperature range of +15-18ºС. To obtain an early crop, growing via seedlings is recommended, which are transplanted into open ground at 35-40 days old. Broccoli requires regular watering, fertilizing, weeding, and soil loosening. In hot weather, the plant may consume up to a bucket of water per day, however, excess moisture leading to waterlogging is undesirable. The variety is resistant to diseases and does not cause difficulties in greenhouse cultivation.
Color broccoli Robert is versatile in application: it is used both fresh and for canning and freezing. Thanks to its dense structure and good taste, it is suitable for various culinary purposes. Due to its high nutritional value, including vitamins and minerals, this variety is a useful and in-demand product for healthy eating.
