Cabbage PURPLE BALL

Growing Experience: «Lilovy SHAR» Cauliflower

When you plant «Lilovy SHAR» from Agrofirma Aelita in your garden, the first thing that strikes you is the atypical color for a regular vegetable patch. This is a mid-late variety of cauliflower (110–120 days from transplanting) that requires patience but rewards you with excellent marketability. The heads are round-flat, dense, and weigh between 1.0 and 1.5 kg. The main feature is the rich purple shade, which makes this cauliflower a star at the farmers' market.

Agrotechnics and Care Tips

During the head formation period, it is crucial to prevent the soil from drying out; otherwise, the "sphere" loses its density and can become loose. The plant feels comfortable in open ground, but performs best with stable access to mineral fertilizers—the purple pigment in this variety directly depends on lighting and nutrient conditions.

• Timing: 110–120 days is a classic period, allowing it to ripen before prolonged cold sets in.
• Harvesting: The heads maintain their shape perfectly during transport and do not crumble in boxes. A weight of 1.0–1.5 kg is considered ideal for retail—one head is perfect for a quality family dinner.
• Usage: It is not just decorative. The flavor is mild and delicate. While the color may fade slightly during thermal processing, it retains its visual appeal with quick stir-frying or blanching.

If you are looking for a unique product to fill your fresh market stall, this variety by the originators (Nastenko N.V., Kachaynik V.G., Kandoba A.V.) is a solid choice. The stable genetics from Aelita ensure uniformity of the crop, which significantly simplifies bulk harvesting.
