Revenge F1 — a medium-maturing hybrid of white cabbage with a maturation period of 85 to 90 days after seedling transplanting. The plant is characterized by an elevated leaf rosette, which has small or medium-sized leaves, a gray-green color with a medium-intensity waxy coating, a blistered structure, and a wavy edge. The head is round, covered, with whitish flesh when cut, weighing from 2.8 to 3 kg. Outer and inner stalks have a medium length. Revenge cabbage is distinguished by excellent taste qualities and is suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, as well as for long-term storage from August to November.
The plant prefers well-permeable, fertile soils with a neutral reaction, as cabbage is susceptible to clubroot disease on acidic soils. Revenge cabbage is moisture- and light-loving, which is related to its nature as a long-day plant. The hybrid is resistant to fusarium wilt and is weakly affected by thrips, which increases its reliability under various growing conditions. Recommended agronomy includes sowing seeds in mid-March, transplanting seedlings in early May with a row spacing of 70 by 50 cm, and harvesting in late September to early October.
To improve growth and crop quality, the use of stimulants is recommended, which accelerate seed germination, contribute to good seedling rooting, and root system development. Such preparations stimulate fruit maturation, increase yield, prevent fruit drop, and enhance fruiting. They also increase plant resistance to fungal diseases and stressful weather conditions, contribute to the rejuvenation of old plants, reduce nitrate, pesticide, and heavy metal content in fruits, and improve taste qualities and nutritional value of the crop by increasing sugar, protein, and vitamin content.
