Cabbage Palermo

Palermo is an early-maturing variety of white cabbage, distinguished by its high yield and excellent taste qualities. The plants form dense, firm, round heads weighing between 0.9 and 1.1 kg. The leaves are of medium size, green in color with a medium-intensity waxy coating, featuring a slightly blistered and slightly wavy structure along the edges. The heads are partially covered, with short outer and inner stalks, and exhibit a yellowish hue when cut. The head density is rated at 4.5 points, ensuring good preservation and resistance to damage during transportation. The Palermo variety is resistant to major cabbage diseases, including clubroot and black rot, which significantly eases plant care and reduces yield losses. The leaf rosette is raised, promoting good ventilation and reducing the risk of diseases. High commercial yield reaches 352-476 centners per hectare, with maximum figures reaching up to 542 centners, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation. The yield of commercial product is 93%, indicating high quality and uniformity of the harvest. The cabbage Palermo is recommended for fresh consumption due to its good and excellent taste. This variety is well-suited for cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in the Central Black Earth Region. Thanks to its characteristics and disease resistance, Palermo is popular among gardeners and farmers seeking an early and high-quality harvest of white cabbage.
