Vostok grape variety belongs to table types and is characterized by a medium-late ripening period, usually in early October, with a vegetation period of about 142 days. The vines have medium or strong growth vigor, and the flowers are bisexual, which contributes to good shoot development. The clusters of this variety are large, cylindrical-conical in shape, medium to dense, weighing from 700 to 1500 grams. The berries are very large, oval or round, with a beautiful pink or golden-white hue, weighing about 14 grams, with dense flesh and a distinct muscat flavor. The Vostok variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching approximately 132 centners per hectare, and high sugar content of about 18.6%, with acidity around 6.0 g/l. The grape is primarily intended for fresh consumption due to its excellent taste and attractive appearance. However, the variety requires warm conditions and fertile soils for optimal development, as its frost resistance is low. Additionally, Vostok is susceptible to fungal diseases and phylloxera, which necessitates a comprehensive protective regimen to maintain plant health. The variety has good compatibility with common rootstocks, facilitating its cultivation and propagation.
