Description

The 'Golden Resistant' grape variety is a medium-late table and technical variety developed at the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Support Station of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Viticulture and Enology named after V. E. Tairov. The vines are vigorous with good bud break, large round three-lobed leaves with a finely pitted surface and weak undersides pubescence. Flowers are perfect, ensuring good pollination and stable fruiting. Bunches are cylindrical-conical, large or medium-sized, medium density, sometimes winged. Berries are medium-sized, round, greenish-yellow in color, with thin and firm skin covered by a weak waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy-fleshy with a harmonious flavor.

The period from bud break to harvest maturity is 140–145 days at a sum of active temperatures of 2800–2900°C. The variety has high and stable yields, averaging 117 centners per hectare. The grape is resistant to mildew, allowing cultivation with minimal fungicide use. Drought resistance is also high, though the variety has low resistance to gray mold and oidium. Cold resistance is moderate, requiring consideration of climatic conditions during cultivation.

The 'Golden Resistant' variety is versatile in use: berries are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making table wine and juice. Due to its harmonious flavor and juicy-fleshy flesh, this variety is appreciated both by fresh grape lovers and winemakers. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to prepare planting holes with drainage, compost, and mineral fertilizers including nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus, as well as ensure regular watering, especially during active growth.
