Description

Ukrainian grape variety Zoryka — an early-ripening table variety, distinguished by high and stable yields ranging from 110 to 140 centners per hectare. Young shoots have a light green color with a bronze tinge and slight pubescence, while one-year-old shoots are brown with a bluish bloom. Leaves are medium-sized, round, five-lobed, and moderately dissected, with a smooth dark green surface and slightly downward-curving margins. Flowers are bisexual, promoting good pollination and fruit set.

Bunches of the Zoryka variety are medium-sized, conical, and loose, with an average weight of about 270 grams per bunch. Berries are oval, pale-pink in color with a slight waxy bloom, medium-sized — length around 18.8 mm, width 17.2 mm. The flesh is juicy and succulent, and the skin is tough, ensuring good fruit storage. The flavor is harmonious and pleasant, with one to three medium-sized seeds in each berry.

The variety is resistant to gray mold of berries and only slightly affected by bunch moth, but it is not resistant to mildew and oidium. Zoryka has low cold tolerance, so climatic conditions must be taken into account for successful cultivation. This grape is widely used as a table variety and is suitable for wine and juice production. The variety has been included in Ukraine’s State Register of Plants since 2014, confirming its adaptation and demand in the region.
