Description

Lucy Red is an early grape variety developed by Sidorenko Yu.I. and Sidorenko E.I., distinguished by a short vegetation period of 105 to 120 days. This variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, enduring frosts down to -30°C, making it a reliable choice for regions with a cold climate. The bushes of Lucy Red are very vigorous, which contributes to the formation of large and dense conical clusters.

Grape clusters weigh from 400 to 700 grams, and berries are elongated-oval in shape, red in color, weighing about 7-8 grams each. The fruit taste is harmonious with pronounced muscat notes, giving them special appeal both for fresh consumption and winemaking. Sugar content reaches 210 g/dm³ with acidity of about 5 g/dm³, ensuring a balanced taste and high quality of the harvest.

The Lucy Red variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and pests, and is not prone to berry cracking, which increases its transportability and preservation during transport. The yield of the variety is about 218 centners per hectare, making it profitable for commercial cultivation. Due to its universal characteristics, this grape is suitable both for fresh consumption and for producing quality wine.
