The Baklanovskiy grape variety is an early table variety with a maturation period of 115-125 days from bud break to harvestable maturity. The bushes are of medium height with hermaphroditic flowers, ensuring stable fruiting. Bunches are large, conical in shape, weighing from 650 to 1200 grams with good care, with moderate or dense structure. Berries are large, oval or oval-pumpkin-shaped, white in color, with fleshy, juicy, and crisp flesh. The taste is harmonious, sugar content varies from 18 to 23%, and acidity is 5-6 g/L; under favorable conditions, sugar content can reach 26%. The optimal time for harvest collection is mid-August, when the berries acquire a yellowish color and dried berries appear in the bunches. The variety is characterized by high resistance to main grape diseases such as mildew, oidium, and gray rot, as well as frost resistance down to -25 °C. Shoots ripen well, cuttings root satisfactorily, which facilitates reproduction. The percentage of fruit-bearing shoots on the bush is 70-85%, the fruitfulness coefficient is within 1.5-1.8. The recommended load on the bush is 30-40 buds, with pruning of fruiting canes to 8-10 buds and short shaping. The variety is well compatible with rootstocks, which expands the possibilities for its cultivation. Baklanovskiy grapes are characterized by high yield and stability of fruiting. Thanks to large, juicy, and transportable berries, it is suitable both for fresh consumption and for market distribution. The early ripening period allows to obtain a harvest at the beginning of August, which is an advantage for regions with a short vegetation period. This variety combines excellent taste qualities, resistance to unfavorable conditions and ease of agrotechnology, which makes it attractive to viticulturists.
