Description FRUMOASA ALBE
Frumoasa Albă is a white table grape variety with an early ripening period, bred in Moldova. The name translates to 'beautiful white'. This variety was created by crossing Moldovan and European varieties to obtain high-quality universal-purpose grapes with resistance to major fungal diseases and climatic factors. The bushes are characterized by medium growth vigor, and the canes mature well, which contributes to a stable harvest.

Clusters of Frumoasa Albă are medium or large in size, weighing from 300 to 700 grams, and are loose or medium density. The berries are round or slightly oval, light green in color with a yellowish-golden tint, measuring approximately 2.4 by 2.2 centimeters and weighing 5-6 grams. The taste of the berries is harmonious, with a pleasant muscat aroma, a slight acidity, and a delicate sweetness. The tasting score for fresh grapes reaches 8.2 points, confirming their high quality.

The variety is characterized by high yield—up to 157 centners per hectare and up to 45 kilograms from one mature vine. It is resistant to downy mildew, grey rot, powdery mildew, spider mites, tortrix, and phylloxera, but requires preventive treatments to maintain plant health. Frumoasa Albă is well suited for cultivation on sunny, well-ventilated plots with fertile soils. This grape is versatile in application: it is used both for fresh consumption and for the production of table and semi-dry wines, as well as desserts. Due to its good marketability and transportability, the variety is popular among viticulturists.
