The Cardinal Anapsky grape variety belongs to mid-early varieties with a ripening period of about 120-125 days. The bushes are vigorous with well-ripening canes. Bunches have a cylindrical-conical or conical shape, medium density, typically weighing about 450 grams, but often reaching a mass of 1 kilogram or more. Berries are large and very large, round in shape, approximately 27 by 25 mm in size and weighing from 7 to 9 grams, colored in shades from red to dark blue. The flesh is crisp, with a harmonious taste and a slight muscat flavor. Sugar content varies from 17 to 21%, acidity is 6-8 g/l, providing a pleasant taste balance. The skin is dense but easily breaks, the flesh is fleshy and juicy and greenish-white. Berries contain from 2 to 4 large seeds. The variety is characterized by high yield and a fruiting coefficient of 1.3. Cardinal Anapsky has medium or slightly increased frost resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures down to -23 °C, as well as increased resistance to fungal diseases. This grape is heat-loving and prefers southern growing regions. For the variety, medium and long pruning is recommended, leaving from 6 to 12 buds per cane, which contributes to optimal fruiting. Cardinal Anapsky is compatible with most rootstocks, which facilitates its adaptation in various conditions. Thanks to its large berries, high fruit quality, and resistance to adverse factors, this variety is popular among viticulturists and lovers of table grapes.
