The Bashkir grape variety is a universal early-ripening variety characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases and pests. Bushes are vigorous with large, bright green leaves that are almost entire and have weak spider-like pubescence on the underside. Bunches are of medium size, loose and branched, weighing about 120 grams, while berries of round shape with dark blue skin possess a specific, varietal taste, sweet and sour and juicy, yet fragile, which complicates transportation.
The variety is characterized by active growth and high yield, reaching up to 25 kg per plant with proper care. The vegetative period is about 160 days, with fruit ripening in mid-August. Thanks to high frost resistance down to -23°C, the variety is well-suited for cultivation in regions with a cold climate. For successful fruiting, the presence of a pollinator is required.
Bashkir grapes are suitable both for fresh consumption and for preserves. Their high resistance to unfavorable conditions and diseases makes this variety a reliable choice for gardeners seeking a stable and quality harvest. The variety was bred at the Bashkir Research Institute and has undergone state variety trials since 1976, confirming its adaptability and value for cultivation in the Ural region.
