RISLING AZOS is a technical white grape variety characterized by a medium ripening period and vigorous shoot growth. The leaves are five-lobed, deeply cut with a net-veined, wrinkled surface and moderate scabrous indumentum on the underside. The flowers are bisexual, which promotes good fruit set. The clusters are cylindrical, of medium size and density, weighing about 200 grams. The berries are round, white, with thick skins and juicy flesh possessing a harmonious taste and pronounced Riesling aroma. The variety is distinguished by high yields of 110-115 centners per hectare with a sugar content of about 18 g/100 cm3 and acidity of 8.0-9.0 g/dm3. The berries are sweet, store well on the vine, do not split, and are not damaged by wasps, making this grape suitable for long-term storage and use. Shoot maturation is good, with one-year-old shoots being light brown with darker nodes. The fruiting coefficient is 1.2, indicating stable and high productivity of the variety. RISLING AZOS has resistance to phylloxera at a level of 3 points, as well as resistance to fungal diseases and frosts, which corresponds to the characteristics of the parent variety Riesling. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is widely used for both the production of white wines with a distinctive bouquet of aromas and as a pergola grape. Its spread has been noted in many viticulture regions, confirming its adaptability and value for winemaking.
