Garlic ILLARION

The Illarion garlic variety is a mid-season spring cultivar that does not bolt and is characterized by high resistance to fusarium. The plant's leaves are green with a waxy coating, indicating its healthy state and good adaptation to growing conditions. The bulb has an oval-flat shape of medium size, with a mass ranging from 48 to 85 grams. The appearance of the bulb is characterized by creamy dry outer scales with purple veins, while the leather-like scales have a purple tint. The garlic flesh is creamy, and the taste is sharp, making it attractive for culinary use.

Illarion belongs to spring garlic varieties that are planted in the spring. Unlike winter varieties, spring garlic is less common but has a number of advantages, including good storage capability and the ability to maintain its qualities until the next harvest. The bulbs of this variety contain up to 30 cloves arranged in a spiral, which facilitates their use and preparation. Successful cultivation of the Illarion variety requires light areas with fertile soil, as well as proper planting and care, which contributes to high yield.

The yield of the Illarion variety is from 2.9 to 3.1 kg per square meter, which is a good indicator for spring garlic. Due to its characteristics, such as disease resistance, attractive appearance, and sharp taste, this variety is popular among gardeners and farmers. Illarion is excellent for use in cooking as well as for long-term storage, which allows preserving the freshness and beneficial properties of garlic for an extended period.
